These terms apply when you play Hearthmakers, in a browser or as a Discord Activity, on a server run by The Gearfinder Studios ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.
The game
Hearthmakers is a free, fan-made voxel game in development, made as a tribute to Stonehearth. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the makers of Stonehearth, and Stonehearth belongs to its owners.
Because the game is in development, features change, servers may go offline, and worlds, characters or items may be reset or lost, for example when the terrain generator changes. The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
Who may play
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services without parental consent in your country, whichever is higher. If you play through Discord, you must also follow Discord's Terms of Service.
Your account
- You may sign in with a username and password, or with your Discord account where the server allows it.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- A server may require you to be a member of a particular Discord server to sign in with Discord. If you leave that Discord server, you can no longer sign in that way.
- Account, character and realm names must not be offensive or impersonate someone else.
Playing with others
When you chat, trade, form parties or visit other realms, please:
- be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, threats or sexual content;
- don't spam, advertise or share other people's personal information;
- don't cheat, exploit bugs on purpose, or use bots or modified clients to gain an advantage;
- don't attack, overload or try to break into the servers or other players' accounts.
If you find a bug or a security problem, please report it on our Discord server.
What you make
Realms, blueprints and other things you make in the game are stored on the server so the game can show them to you and to the players you play with. You give us permission to store and display them for that purpose. Items, characters and progress in the game have no real-world value and can't be sold or exchanged for money.
Enforcement
Server admins may remove content, and we may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms, at our discretion and without notice in serious cases.
Other servers
Anyone can run their own Hearthmakers server, and the game lets you connect to servers other than ours. Those servers are run by their own operators, under their own rules, and these terms don't cover them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the game, including lost game data.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll announce significant changes on our Discord server. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
